Asahi Pool Upright
I have a used pool that was left at a house we just moved into. It is ( I think) going to be an 18 ft X 52" . Everything including the filter and the pump are in like new condition, I am missing the liner but that's fine, I wouldn't reuse it anyway.
But my big problem is that I have the base plates, the verticals, the top rails and half of the caps? I am missing the top plates and the top half of all of the Plate caps?
I do not know the brand of pool so I am curious if it is possible to ID a pool and if it's possible to replace those parts. I would guess the pool to be 2-3 years old. Thanks
Hi Bob
It is an Asahi pool and they have a website where you can order parts. This brand pool was sold by paddock pools in the Phoenix area for well over 20 years. It has been at least ten years since I have seen this model but it looks like they still have parts available.
This pool is made in many versions and sold all over the states. It is a Japanese company and the product is actually pretty good. This site, asahiparts.com, has replacement parts for most of their models and I am pretty sure I found what you needed.
My normal advice for someone trying to find parts is to also consider finding a used pool for sale in your area. Many times an entire pool can be purchased for less than a few replacement parts.

I have been trying to order parts from asahiparts.com. On March 1 they had 79 of the required parts, but the checkout site wouldn't take my payment info. A couple of days later there were only 7 listed and again the checkout site wouldn't accept the payment info. Today they are said to be out of stock. Anyone else had any luck in solving this problem. Emails to the company only generate robotic responses. Anyone got any ideas, who knows a dealer that might have the needed parts, etc? HELP!!!
Hi Wendell.
From what I here it's best to stay away from this company. Complaints started coming in last summer about them not sending orders after parts had been paid for. It sounds to me like you are lucky the checkout system was broke.
You can use my site search and find tons of stuff written about Asahi pools and pool parts. I don't recall, however, anyone saying they had a stash of parts hanging around.
Asahi pools are sold all over the country and many of these dealers have tons of left over parts. Finding them is the hard part. Hopefully someone can help you and all the other folks looking for Asahi parts.
A few more pool parts ideas can be found on these pages.

I looked on this site a few weeks ago (May 2012) and the parts I needed were out of stock. After failed attempts of finding a dealer that might be able to help, I checked again and they were in stock. I was able to pay and got plenty of receipt and confirmation emails. I now have a UPS tracking number that comes back to an actual package, so hopefully I'll have the parts in a few days. I'll post again when they arrive to let everyone know this may not be a completely defunct company.

I have a 24' above ground pool that was damaged by a recent storm. I'm looking for seats, seat covers, verticals, rails, joints, and assorted hardware can you help me? It is an Asahi Pool.
Hi Douglas.
There is a link on this page to Asahi pool parts.
Asahi is a pool made in Japan and it is very expensive to ship individual parts to the U.S. This company sells Asahi pool parts for customers in this country.

I have an Asahi pool model # 1161. It’s a 12’ x 24’ oval above ground pool bought in 2006. The top rails are steel and are rusted through. I have heard complaints about the manufactures supplier (asahiparts.com).
Can I replace them with resin top seats?
Hi Bill.
I have no idea where you would find matching resin seats for that pool. You may want to read all of this post, it appears asahiparts is shipping.

I bought a used 28' round Asahi above ground swimming pool and need to replace some of the bottom railing.
I have found the parts online but I don't see where they come in 28'. They only have listed 27' or 30'. Would the 27' be the right one to buy for my pool?
Hi Lucille.
They should work just fine. The only difference the size makes is in the arc of the rail. There is such little difference between a 27' and a 28' it would not matter.
The Asahi pool parts site only shows that they made a 27' pool. To the best of my knowledge that would be correct. You might want to double check the size of your pool. An easy way to do this would be to lay out all of the bottom rails, connect them to the footplates, and measure the size pool they make.
To the best of my knowledge Doughboy is the only pool manufacturer to make a 28' pool so I would check the size very carefully.
As long as you order the correct amount of bottom rails, and as long as they are the same length, you should be fine regardless of the size of your pool. If the new rails are longer than what you have, cut them to size. If they are too short you should be able to set a wider gap in the footplates to make up the difference.

I have a 24' asahi pool that have 13 out of 16 top rails that are rusted and falling apart. I'm looking for replacement steel or resin rails at a good price. Asahiparts.com have them but I don't really want to spend $335-530 to replace. Hoping you may have an option for resin at a lower cost.

Mighty Sun Bottom Bracket
I got a 15' Mighty Sun pool from a friend, and it has ALL of the parts except that it is missing exactly one of the bottom brackets. The manual shows it as Part No. 2211, but doesn't have any information about ordering replacement parts.
The closest I've found is here: https://www.inyopools.com/Products/24701352078767.htm#details, but it's for a different pool even if MOST of the dimensions are correct (but not all - in particular, the tab for the upright support is too wide).
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have an above ground pool that was damaged in a storm and I am looking for some replacement parts. It is 18 x 33 Braceless Oval, 52" deep by Midland Sun. I believe parts are by Asahi. If you carry, or think you might carry parts for this pool let me know and I will give you more info on exactly which ones I need. Thanks, Alicia

We bought a used asahi oval pool suppsed to be 15 x 30 or 16 x 32. I am thinking the smaller of the size. We do not have an owner's manual. How could we go about finding one?
