Linoleum Squares Under Metal Frame Intex Pool

We are getting ready to install a 15' Intex metal frame pool and want something a little thicker than the tarp that is provided to put between the pool and the ground.

I cannot find rolled linoleum larger that 12' so I was considering using 18" square linoleum tiles.

Has anyone ever done this before? Any thoughts or concerns?

I have never heard of this being done. My concern would be how you would keep them together. If they separate just a little the gap with show in your pool. If they were glued to concrete I could see it working but laid out on dirt I doubt it.

 Carpet squares under pool

We went ahead and used carpet squares, purchased at a local close-out store. They did not shift when filling up the pool and are a durable (but soft) extra layer under the pool.

We mulched around the edges of the pool afterward so the carpet is not visible.
