AGP Installation Cost

by Brian
(Nashville, USA)

What is a ballpark estimate for 27'- 30' AGP install with a ground slope of 1 foot in 30 feet.
ie: labor/materials? Planning a pool and need an idea of total costs....

Thanks, Brian

Hi Brian. In Arizona I charged about 900 dollars for a normal install that size. The extra leveling would have run another 3 - 4 hundred. I have seen estimates in the pool forums that people have gotten that are quite a bit higher. From what I have seen, and know, a ballpark estimate for a 27' above ground pool would be between 1 – 2 thousand.

This is a ballpark and you would, of course, need to get estimates from your local installers. I have heard of some that will only come in once the ground is level. In that case you will need two estimates, one from the pool installer and one from the excavator. But in my opinion the whole thing should not cost more than two grand, and hopefully, about half that.

Pool Installation Service

How do we get in contact with you and find out what your costs involved are to install an above ground pool.

Thanks

Hi Toni. The link below takes you to my consulting service where I can help you with your installation. You would have to do the work however.

Next summer I will probably be back in Arizona doing installations again, at least a few. This summer I am in Missouri and the service below is the only one I offer.

Pool Installation Support

An update to this page, I have been back in Arizona a few years now doing above ground pool installations state wide. I also install vinyl liners in in ground pools.

Hi Dennis: We are not the typical do it yourselfer.....it is just me the gal in the family that does that, my husband is not allowed around tools!!! HA HA, so we will probably, if we put an above ground pool in this year, look elsewhere.......thanks for your prompt answer.

Hi. Not a problem but if you change your mind you know where to find me.

My above ground pool installer locator service is just around the corner, there are many people like you that would gladly pay to have the work done for them.

I should even do an above ground pool installers online school, if you pass the class, you get listed on my site as a preferred installer. Just thinking out loud.

Hope you get the pool up and enjoy it.

Swimming Pool Contractor In Arizona

by Virginia
(Phoenix)

I am thinking of buying an oval above ground pool, the kind without buttresses. I have not been able to locate anyone to install an above ground. I do not want a Doughboy or other type of portable pool. Actually, I want the above ground that can go halfway in the ground.

I live in Phoenix and have not found any dealer who sells them locally either so I would have to buy online, but need the contractor to do it. We do not want to install ourselves.

Virginia

Hi Virginia. If you contact Pool Supply Warehouse and ask for their list of pool installers they usually have a few names they give out. You could also try A and M Pool and Pump in Mesa. They usually have a couple of pool installers they work with.

All steel wall above ground pools can be set half way in the ground so I am not exactly sure what type of pool you are looking for. A and M sells the Doughboy line that features a buttress free design and is perfect for setting in the ground.

Help With a New Pool

Not Plumb

I had a new pool installed and the sides aren’t straight. Some go in and some come out a little. Is this normal for a new install from a company? I’m nervous and of course I don’t like the way it looks. I took a level to the sides and it’s not level at all. The company said they checked it twice and it’s fine. I need a second opinion? Help!

Hi Tina It looks like a leveling issue when the pool was installed. Perfectly level is important. Will the pool hold water and be ok, probably.
